University of Oklahoma Norman Campus

Attracting top students from across the nation and more than 140 countries around the world, OU provides a major university experience in a private college atmosphere. For the first time in history, the University of Oklahoma ranks first in the nation among both private and public universities in the enrollment of freshman National Merit Scholars and is in the top ten of public universities in the nation in the graduation of Rhodes Scholars. OU offers students the opportunity to study abroad in over 240 cities and 82 countries, including our signature program in Arezzo, Italy. OU has emerged as a pacesetter for public higher education in the United States and is consistently ranked by The Princeton Review among the top universities in the nation in terms of academic excellence and cost for students. In honor of OU’s 125th anniversary, the University has launched a $500 million private fundraising campaign, of which the largest component is to raise $100 million to provide undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships. Since 1994, more than $2 billion in construction projects have been completed, are under way or are forthcoming on OU’s three campuses. Above all, OU has a strong sense of community. We are all part of a university family where we respect and care about each other.
